Training
We
have now become the largest provider of retail training at heritage
sites in the UK.
We
have trained all the retail staff of the National Trust for some years
and in addition to running our existing courses for them in 2008, we
will be introducing a new management course for senior staff.
As
result of running 4 pilot training courses over the past few months
for the visitor services staff of English Heritage, we are very
pleased to have been asked to roll out a programme of courses to be
held at properties around the country in 2008.
Our
main business in the training world, however, is to run courses on all
aspects of working in a shop at a heritage site for much smaller
independent retailers such as Blair Castle, Hylands House (the venue
for the World Scout Jamboree in July 2007) and numerous Museums,
Cathedrals and Tourist Information centres around the UK.

Mystery Visitor Reports
For
several years we have undertaken Mystery Shopping on behalf of a major
high street retailer and have occasionally been asked to do similar
exercises on behalf of new clients in order to assess their staff’s
training needs. We have now expanded this side of the business into
reviewing the entire visitor experience. Although our ‘specialist
subject’ is retailing, we are passionate about offering the highest
possible level of customer service in every part of an attraction and
have now been commissioned by clients to look at every aspect of their
business, from how telephone inquiries are dealt and the visibility of
external signposting to catering and, of course, the shop. |
